THE STORY Washington, D.C. is in danger: it’s a city divided, torn apart by rampant crime and political corruption. Our nation’s capital needs more than a strong leader--it needs Super vision. That's the realization driving Superman's run for Mayor of Washington, D.C. Rocketed to earth from a dying planet, Superman was raised by Kansas farmers Jonathan and Martha Kent, who instilled in him an uncommon strength of character. Even when he started to exhibit powers and abilities far beyond those of most men and women, Superman never forgot the lessons that his adoptive parents taught him about honesty, hard work, and concern for all people. Those very values told him that he couldn't limit his talents to Smallville, Kansas. Leaving Smallville and hitting the big city, Superman devoted his life to the service of his adopted planet. As a journalist, Clark Kent spoke truth to power. As Superman, he defended the powerless. Now, after 70 years of public service, Superman is fighting to save Washington, D.C. Our nation’s capitol is divided, plagued by crime, struggling to maintain community and families. The All-American city needs an all-American hero. It needs strong, moral leadership. It needs a uniting force. It needs Superman. But Superman can’t fight these battles alone. He needs your help. We need to unite and save D.C. We need to take back the city and fight for equality, community, and justice. We need more than one superhero—we need a legion of them. We can all be heroes. Together, we have super power.
